The things they say

Connor has started mimicking more words and even has a couple that he says spontaneously. He does have one thing he says consistently though...and it's a 3-word phrase - "I did it" (or "you did it." We're not sure which he's saying since we always say "you"). He says this all the time when he does something that he's proud of. Here's a little snippet of him saying it.

Isaac has recently learned to say Fee Fi Fo Fum...and I think it's the cutest thing.

18 month pictures

We finally had the courage to face the photography studio again now that the boys are 18 months old. The 1-year photo shoot was such an ordeal, I was afraid these kids would never have their pictures taken professionally again. They did much better this time....instead of crying, they just wanted to explore the whole studio rather than stay on the photo set. Oh well, we at least got a few decent shots. Here are a couple... (you can click on each picture to see it bigger)

Circus Freak

With the high cost of gas these days, we've made the difficult decision to sell Isaac to the circus for some extra cash. We think he'll make an excellent contortionist.

Beanpoles

Connor & Isaac went for their 18 month check-ups today & the pedatrician told us that they are both tall & thin.

Isaac is 33" tall (75th percentile) and weighs 20 lbs. 14 oz. (3rd percentile). The doctor suggested we add Carnation Instant Breakfast or Ovaltine to his milk to help get some extra calories in him. He is right on target for speech with at least 50 words in his vocabulary.

Connor is 34 7/8" tall (97th percentile) and weighs 26 lbs. 5 oz. (50th percentile). He is not really talking yet, but don't tell him that. He will carry on an entire conversation with you without saying a single real word. We're hoping he is just a late talker, which is very common for boys and twins...two things stacked against him.

Both boys are healthy & doing well in every other way. They are definitely turning into little boys and couldn't be more different. They both crack me up constantly.
